We’ve had some amazing exam results from our GCSE and A Level students. Despite the national average being its lowest in a decade for the top grades and passes being down by 0.6% overall, we’re delighted that all of our GCSE and A Level exam students have done exceptionally well and passed all their exams.
Some of our students have surpassed all of their target grades, some have improved by three grades from their mock results, students have got their first choice university or sixth form placements and some have exceeded their school’s expectations, with one student gaining an incredible 9A* and an A at GCSE – made even more impressive by the fact that he was consistently working at a B in many of his subjects when we started working with him. It isn’t just about the top grades though, some of our proudest successes is the girl who was predicted a D yet achieved a B in Science, and the boy who achieved a 5 in Maths and a 6 in English, when his mock results were considerably lower. It just goes to show that hard work and improved confidence pays off.
We’re extremely proud of their achievements and we wish them all lots of luck for their bright futures ahead. Some of whom we’ll continue to see for another two years as we support them through their A Levels. Obviously it goes without saying that we are very grateful to our tutors for their hard work and dedication which has helped make it possible for our students to achieve so well in their exams.
